The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell 33-point-70 points, or one-point-27 percent, on Monday, closing the day at two-thousand-610-point-81.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing 23-point-38 points, or two-point-64 percent, to close at 860-point-84.
On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened one-point-three won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-274.
