The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose zero-point-22 points, or zero-point-01 percent, on Thursday, closing the day at two-thousand-716-point-71.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining zero-point-70 points, or zero-point-08 percent, to close at 928-point-01.
On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened three-point-three won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-224-point-seven won.
