The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose three-point-08 points, or zero-point-11 percent, on Thursday, ending the day at two-thousand-771-point-93.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ fell, however, losing 14-point-85 points, or one-point-63 percent, to close at 895-point-68.
On the foreign exchange, the local currency stayed even, ending the day at one-thousand-196-point-five won against the dollar.
