The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell 54-point-73 points, or one-point-81 percent, on Monday, closing the day at two-thousand-963.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing ten-point-75 points, or one-point-07 percent, to close at 990-point-51.
On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened nine-point-nine won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-190-point-eight won.
