The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell two-point-89 points, or zero-point-11 percent, on Wednesday, closing the day at two-thousand-677-point-57.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing seven-point-51 points, or zero-point-83 percent, to close at 900-point-06.
On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened one-point-five won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-266-point-three won.
