The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 37-point-70 points, or one-point-44 percent, on Wednesday, closing the day at two-thousand-659-point-23.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining 20-point-58 points, or two-point-36 percent, to close at 891-point-80.
On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened seven-point-one won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-235-point-seven won.
