The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose four-point-34 points, or zero-point-16 percent, on Wednesday, closing the day at two-thousand-703-point-52.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining 14-point-38 points, or one-point-63 percent, to close at 895-point-45.
On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened three-point-eight won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-206-point-one won.
