The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 14-point-41 points, or zero-point-53 percent, on Thursday, closing the day at two-thousand-744-point-09.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ fell, however, losing three-point-93 points, or zero-point-45 percent, to close at 874-point-22.
On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened zero-point-five won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-197-point-one won.
KOSPI Ends Thursday Up 0.53%
