The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell 43-point-23 points, or one-point-57 percent, on Monday, closing the day at two-thousand-704-point-48.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing 24-point-63 points, or two-point-81 percent, to close at 852-point-79.
On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened seven-point-four won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-191-point-one won.
