The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell five-point-20 points, or zero-point-19 percent, on Monday, closing the day at two-thousand-745-point-06.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing three-point-47 points, or zero-point-38 percent, to close at 899-point-40.
On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened three-point-seven won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-200-point-seven won.
