The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 45-point-55 points, or one-point-57 percent, on Thursday, closing the day at two-thousand-945-point-27.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining zero-point-28 points, or zero-point-03 percent, to close at 977-point-43.
On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened three-point-three won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-175-point-nine won.
