The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell five-point-25 points, or zero-point-18 percent, on Thursday, closing the day at two-thousand-924-point-92.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ, however, rose four-point-nine points, or zero-point-five percent, to close at 992-point-65.
On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened zero-point-one won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-180-point-eight won.
