The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell nine-point-07 points, or zero-point-31 percent on Monday, closing the day at two-thousand-960-point-20.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ rose, however, gaining one-point-15 points, or zero-point-11 percent, to close at one-thousand-two-point-50.
On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened two-point-one won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-183-point-one won.
