The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell 39-point-92 points, or one-point-35 percent on Tuesday, closing the day at two-thousand-916-point-38.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also shed 12-point-96 points, or one-point-36 percent, to close at 940-point-15.
On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened four-point-two won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-198-point-eight won.
