The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 44-point-23 points, or one-point-50 percent on Thursday, closing the day at two-thousand-988-point-64.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also gained 29-point-96 points, or three-point-14 percent, to close at 983-point-43.
On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened seven won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-186-point-eight won.
