The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 51-point-15 points, or one-point-76 percent on Thursday, closing the day at two-thousand-959-point-46.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also gained 31-point-07 points, or three-point-37 percent, to close at 953-point-43.
On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened one-point-nine won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-190-point-four won.
KOSPI Ends Thursday Up 1.76%
